A Bright Future

Jana Sofia Panem, Ontario

“I see that wind power will be an alternative energy source for Canada’s future. I believe we will have enough energy to generate power for our everyday lives such as electricity, transportation, and the internet. This transformation will greatly benefit our future generation as it will help to maximize preserving our vital nature and maintain a clean environment.”

Cheers to a fine ‘power to the people’ google doodle today from a young student in Ontario!

.…”14 Vancouver restaurants listed in Canada’s top 100 for outdoor dining”…”Canada’s first ‘pod’ hotel will open next Spring in Whistler”…

Cheers to a shout out BRAVO to Vancouver’s Bela Gelateria & Pizza, Blue Water Cafe, Cin Cin, Homer Street Cafe, Joe Fortes, The Keg Yaletown & Alberni, L’Antipasto, Las Maragaritas, Miku, Seasons in the Park, Tableau Bistro, The Teahouse, & West Oak Restaurant.

SOMETHING ABOUT…..“Construction is currently underway on the $10-million Pangea Pod Hotel, a property consisting of 88 self-contained ‘sleeping pods’ spread across several custom suites, located in the middle of Whistler’s popular Village Stroll. It is slated to open in April 2018.”

Cheers to a ‘step by step’ kinda mid-week Wednesday that keeps you away from the PODiatrist & champions all you do towards the PODium!

…”Blue skies ahead?: Canadian solar power counts one million homes…”Sun Run unites tens of thousands, each with a different reason to run”…”Queen Elizabeth: long to reign over us?”…

SOMETHING ABOUT “cost effective consumption of energy & production of it too”……power-to-the-people!

It was a great day yesterday for Vancouver’s annual Vancouver Sun Run. Blue skies, sunshine, and just under 44,000 runners dashed from the staging area at Georgia & Burrard asthe band played on buoying the crowd of participants and observers!

The event was a fine boost to the restaurant & watering hole establishments across the city as folks waited for traffic to return to ‘normal’ & road closures to be lifted.

All in a day’s fun smiles–run!

At 90, the Queen is carrying on as normal. What’s next is apparently the question “haunting the House of Windsor.”…

No British monarch has ever been blessed with such longevity!

Long to reign over us. God save the Queen!

Cheers to a regally wonderful Monday, powered up brilliantly that sings—SUNSHINE !!!

…’in September’…

t3t2t1

As the sun sets on August and rises on new routines–cheers to a sensational September!

Shockingly, some residents in Vancouver’s downtown core were without power for 39 hours yesterday and Saturday. Others in outlying suburbs, apparently still remain disconnected.

May ‘power to the people’ be our mantra for all !

Stand tall !!!

…bold & encore…

boldpianos

“Encore for Vancouver’s pianos-in-the-streets project”

That’s right! Last summer’s “Keys to the Streets” program repeats again this summer bringing free playable pianos to spots around the city “adding layers and texture and colour and enhancing the composition of the neighbourhoods.”

Ten pianos this year! Keep your eyes out for them on Robson Street, Stanley Park, the Spyglass ferry dock & some other surprises among a food share program and some public art! “Each piano tuned up and ready, comes with a bench & rain cover too!” Salut!

Encore!…..

“Boldness has genius, power & magic in it!”

So said Canada’s High Commissioner to the UK & Ireland addressing graduates at a BC university convocation on the weekend.

Dare to be bold and the genius of it can bring power & magic more than you could imagine!

Life IS like that!
Seize the day!
Fear not!
Be smart in it!
Innovate!
Procrastinate-NOT!
Go for it!
The world is your oyster!

Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
