….of ‘a song of the land’….

As Canada Day, July 1st approaches,  a wee song of the land for today!

Cheers for a fine Monday!

Somewhere there’s a land where the sun brightly shines

And across the tundra, slow rivers wind,

Love is forever and dreams never die,

Somewhere there’s a land for you and I.

Somewhere there’s a land where the snow softly falls,

Elders are cherished and the past recalls,

Tomorrow is sparkling in the eye of a child,

Somewhere there’s a land for you and I.

It’s the song of the land,

In the heart of the common land,

Raise your voice and join hands,

Sing the song of the land.

Somewhere there’s a land where the wind gently blows,

We’ll raise a family in a whole other road,

People are peaceful and wild geese fly,

Somewhere there’s a land for you and I.
