Lunch is a salad and chicken, or fish and vegetables (never starch, when she’s alone). Afternoon tea is a must, with its cookies, cakes and crustless sandwiches. Dinner is meat, perhaps with a rich, creamy sauce. Dessert might be strawberries from Balmoral farm or sweet white peaches from the greenhouse at Windsor Castle. She does have her vices and reportedly likes chocolate for a treat and Champagne for a nightcap.”
