…of ozone & layers…

Bet you didn’t know it,…today is the “International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer.”

Apparently, such designation was made on December 19, 1994, “in commemoration of the date, in 1987, on which nations signed the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer.”

Some of you may remember back in the 70’s when the use of aerosol cans was banned as it was discovered that chlorofluorocarbons as a propellant were depleting the ozone layer. That’s about the time ‘Bain de soleil’ was one of the most popular suntanning products in a highly scented messy greasy “lotion”.

Have you ever thought about the things in life that come in layers?…

History, they say, has many layers…

How about that ice cream sandwich?…

Looking at election platforms, they say, can be like peeling an onion…

One might quip—why the tears?!…

We have brick layers & carpet layers but tile setters…do tile setters lay tiles?…

Cheers to a fine Wednesday that sings—seeing all the layers in a day!!!

Will your evening ‘repas’ include lasagna??!!…

You could have your cake and eat it too!!!
