The dilemma of increasing costs, shrinking margins & whether price increases will scare away customers is keeping retailers awake at night it seems…
Apparently–expect price increases of 5% or more is the news in our times of expect-the-unexpected according to a recent Retail Council of Canada survey.
According to the ‘Jacob Richler ranking’ for 2015, it’s fun to note that Vancouver Gastown’s
L’Abattoir, Yaletown’s Cioppino’s, & Hawksworth find distinction as # 17, 18, & 2.

As North America has ‘sprung forward’ into Daylight Saving Time, it will be until the last Sunday of March that the United Kingdom & most of the European continent do so.
The ‘why’ of it & some of the quirks about countries or areas of countries not participating, remains a mystery for now…
