Some years back, some of us recall the foray of the UK’s Marks & Spencer stores into North American markets, that was an epic textbook case of ‘getting it wrong’. Indeed, it does seem history has a way of repeating itself…
Add to that the continuing decline in oil prices & provincial & federal governments saying they need to re-calibrate their tax base expectations as a result, and all on a January Friday, one can say the economic picture for our day is not a bright one.
Perplexing, in the midst of it all, a new federal program for ‘ExpressEntry’ immigration has just been ushered in with the New Year.
