…of posh & back-to-school & autumn…

…”Back-to-school excitement finally comes for a half million BC students”…”How posh are you?!”…”

A recently released movie in the UK “The Riot Club” has spawned chitchat about posh & privilege. Apparently, if one wants to sound sophisticated and from the right side of the tracks one must learn the difference between serviettes & napkins and the correct way to pronounce waistcoast, forehead, & golf!!!…

So there you go!—ever so la-di-da, swish, swank!

The last gasp of summer 2014 in Vancouver was a Saturday and Sunday resplendent with warm temperatures and bright sunshine. On the water, in the mountains, on the seawalls & out and about in the city could not have been better!

Cheers to autumn & harvests and FYI—Canadian Thanksgiving is but three weeks away!!

October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came,—
The Ashes, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The sunshine spread a carpet,
And every thing was grand;
Miss Weather led the dancing;
Professor Wind, the band….
The sight was like a rainbow
New-fallen from the sky….
~George Cooper, “October’s Party”

Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower. ~Albert Camus

Autumn is the hush before winter. ~French Proverb

Cheers to a fine autumn Monday!…may grateful sing–bounty!
