…of fair…

August mid-month means in Toronto & Vancouver, the CNE & PNE, the summer tradition Canadian and Pacific National Exhibitions are about to get underway!

A sign that summer is well on the way to back-to-school and bringing to mind a thought for a fine Friday that sings—-Fair is fair!!

In Toronto?!, are you going?!—no, no it’s not in Scarborough!

Fair thoughts and happy hours attend on you.

Now the fair goddess, Fortune,
Fall deep in love with thee, and her great charms
Misguide thy opposers’ swords!

Fair, kind, and true, have often lived alone.

Now old desire doth in his deathbed lie,
And young affection gapes to be his heir;
That fair for which love groan’d for and would die,
With tender Juliet match’d, is now not fair.
-Wm. Shakespeare-Merchant of Venice

Seek Fairness and Love

Seek ever toward the fair
fairness in all you do
let life birth joy in you
gift you seek to ever share

Stand firm in opposition true
let honor be your great shield
moral principles never yield
wisdom that should stick like glue

Honor the rights of others
wisdom from fathers and mothers

-R. Lindley

Cheers to a ‘fare’ thee well fine Friday and weekend!!!
