…of sundaes, Sundays, sun days…

A media article yesterday captioned “Sundae service” celebrated ice cream parlours in the
style of the ’50s & ’60s as temples to Formica, Bakelite, & “more importantly gelato!”…

Do any Vancouver locals remember ‘olden days’ of Swensen’s ice cream at Denman/Davie?

The “Coit Tower” towered in popularity next to braving the queue and grabbing a single, double or triple scoop cone for a walk on the beach! All-be-it, a few decades later in the ’70s & ’80s!….

Any childhood recollections for you of dear Grandmas’ “NEVER on Sunday!”?

For some of us, that list was loooooooooooong!
I wonder, does that have anything to do with the so often heard these days—“never say never!!”?….

Sundaes, Sundays, sun days!!!…

As the final merry month of May Monday beckons a 1st rate June Sunday, cheers to a sun filled week!

You are my sunshine!

Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air.

A light wind swept over the corn, and all nature laughed in the sunshine.

The sun lay like a friendly arm across her shoulder.

Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.

The sun always comes out again after rain!

Weather is a great metaphor for life — sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad, and there’s nothing much you can do about it but carry an umbrella.
