…of timeless & NOW…

As today’s google doodle honours a famed British paleontologist who never made it into the Geological Society of London registers because of her gender, we can be grateful that ‘fossilized’ thinking has changed in many respects and acknowledge thar there are still better ways for inclusivity and equality in ao much of society.

“Get with the times…”

“In the olden days…”

“When I went to school…”

“Young people these days…”

How many times have you heard these phrases? One can only imagine some of the things you’ve heard accompanying them…

Through generations and generations timeless questions have been asked and observations made:

Why do we let something that doesn’t really matter cause us to lose something that does?

Sometimes people aren’t who they seem to be, and often times people are so much more than we originally thought.

Loving someone isn’t about saying it every day, it’s showing it every day in every way.

Maturity is not when we start speaking about big things, it’s when we start understanding the small things.

Have you ever noticed that things are always changing? Nothing stays the same, but the sun always rises the next day. The bad news & the good news: Nothing is permanent.

Life’s road is ours alone. Others may walk it with us, but no one can walk it for us.

Sometimes a break from our routine is the very thing that we need.

In times of feeling cocooned in isolation and despair and seeing no way out of the darkness, try to remember that this is a similar place to where caterpillars go to grow their wings.

Why is your mind like a parachute? It doesn’t work unless it’s open.

Feelings are like waves on the ocean. We can’t stop them from coming, but we can choose which ones to surf.

Life–Worries? Wonder? Doubt? Faith in oneself that in all you do things will work out. Not always as you may have originally planned, but just how it’s meant to be.

If you want happiness for an hour — take a nap.
If you want happiness for a day — go fishing.
If you want happiness for a year — inherit a fortune.
If you want happiness for a lifetime — help someone else.
Chinese Proverb

Cheers to a grateful day & the time that is NOW!
