It’s just been announced that fireworks will light up the Vancouver sky once again this summer!
The 24th annual Celebration of Light will feature the USA, France & Japan competing on July 26th, 30th, and Aug 2nd with the winner announced on Aug 4th.
If you’re in town, the simulcast mixture of fireowrks & music, crowds at English Bay & fine summer night enthusiasm in the city are something uniquely Vancouver to experience!
Will there be fireowrkds in your summer?…
“A brief encounter with a begging woman paralyzed me. Was it my religious guilt?” asks an editorial in a Toronto newspaper.
What is it in the briefest encounters that we’ve all no doubt experienced in cities we call home that makes us freeze? It too often seems the many questions such situations evoke, bring us no closer to clearer answers.
“Be swift to love and make haste to be kind.” “The man who insists on seeing with perfect clearness before he decides, never decides.”
There’s no cover up in this story. Professional gardeners are getting naked for charity for World Naked Gardening Day!
The WNGD website says “Gardening naked is not only a simple joy, it reminds us – even if only for those few sunkissed minutes – that we can be honest with who we are as humans and as part of this planet.”
“Ah yes, the slap of a nettle against a bare thigh can do that. And “sunkissed”? It’s not really a year-round pursuit in the UK, is it?”, so says a UK commentator.
Cheers to a fantastic first May weekend & remember— love is patient, love is kind, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others and is not self-seeking, it rejoices in truth. Love bares all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails!
Lovely day! Lovely weekend! Lovely life!
